Isn’t it annoying when spammers change the way the world works?
I mean, there were better days when you used to post your comment, and get something back for your contribution.
This doesn’t affect only the way you handle emails, training your server’s spam filters, but it also affects bloggers. I’ve decided to put more effort into reviewing the comments manually, but make sure that your comment gets something back, a link back which can be followed by search engines.
This will increase your blog’s exposure, because you deserve it.
To read more on the rel=”nofollow” policy, please have a look on this article. I disagree with the decision of Wordpress to add nofollow on every link of the people contributing to blogs with comments.
The plugin I’m using to facilitate this feature is the nofollow-free plugin from Michele Marcucci.
Cheers!
